Reconstruction of concrete areas around NTK
During the spring and summer of 2025, the concrete surfaces around the National Library of Technology will be reconstructed. The reason for this is the deteriorated technical condition, especially the subsidence of the panels and the need to repair the plinth of the facade. The aim of the works is to increase safety for library visitors, improve drainage and restore the aesthetic appearance of the building's surroundings.

News
Between 15 and 17 November 2025, concrete work will take place on a new surface in the section between NTK2 and NTK3 entrances. For this reason, the NTK3 entrance will be temporarily closed. All other entrances will remain accessible.
No construction work is currently being carried out in other parts of the NTK surroundings. A recent camera inspection revealed damage to the sewage system that requires urgent repair. Therefore, ground-penetrating radar measurements are being conducted to determine the extent of the repair and the next steps.
We are aware that this causes inconvenience and delays. However, the work will lead to a safer and higher-quality environment around the building. Thank you for your consideration and understanding.
What does this mean for visitors?
The reconstruction will be carried out in stages to ensure safe access to the NTK building at all times. During the works, there may be short-term restrictions on movement around the library, increased noise pollution, dust and vibrations.
Library operations will be maintained
All library services remain available and NTK opening hours remain unchanged. We will do our best to ensure that construction activity has as little impact on your comfort as possible.
